As a Mercury Insurance CSR, you will serve in a very valuable and impactful position. Taking the First Notice of Loss (FNOL) report is more than just vehicle, property, and accident details; it's about empathy, compassion, and reassurance. You will be the first impression and first step in the Claims process. The CSR is expected to efficiently and effectively initiate the claims process using the system and process tools provided. As part of the Mercury team you will answer questions, resolve inquiries, and participate actively in business improvements.

Please note that all schedule will include a Saturday shift.

Salary starting at $14.50

Differential pay could be offered for late shifts and Spanish bilingual speakers


  • Provides first line customer service contact for Claims filing and other customer service activity.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with internal and external customers
  • Consistently adheres to high standards of performance and service excellence
  • Must be punctual and maintain attendance that meets or exceeds company expectations
  • Ability to multitask and work with web-based applications and other systems
  • Demonstrate effective time management
  • Ability to flex and adapt to different customer personality styles
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Education: High school Diploma or GED Required. Post-high school studies preferred.

Experience: One year of customer service experience preferred.

Skills/Competencies: Oral and written communication skills needed to interact effectively with policyholders, claimants, and agents. Ability to efficiently operate personal computer and related claims and business software.

Working Conditions: Call Center environment. Prolonged periods of sitting, typing while taking telephone calls. Must wear a headset. Non-standard hours possible - flexibility of schedule is desired.
