Salary commensurate with qualifications, education & University guidelines.
Provide HIV testing and counseling services in accordance with program requirements.
Collect completed program data collection forms from tester/counselors and keeps track of data received and source documents.
Enter data into program data base as well as review and make necessary corrections to the information entered. Prepare Monthly summary report.
Compile, sort, and verify accuracy of data entered via communication with those preparing source documents to resolve inconsistencies, or missing data.
Assist in establishing and maintaining an effective and efficient records management system.
Preparing and filing weekly staff performance report and HIV testing performance summary report.
Generate reports and responds to inquiries regarding entered data as requested.
Maintain confidentiality of the information on counseling and testing documents.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisors.
HIV Tester/Counselor/Data Assistant reports to PI and PM.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
HIV Tester/Counselor/Data Assistant position is a grant funded position.
Ability to manage and maintain large data bases.
Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft excel, word, power point and related software applications.
Knowledge of basic research tools and techniques.
Bachelor’s degree with at least one-year experience in research methodology.
Prior HIV testing and counseling experience preferred.
Well organized, self-motivated, and ability to manage deadlines.
English proficiency in editing and writing skills required.
Data base management (data entry, data summary, data reporting) experience preferred.
Ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious work relations with faculty, staff, students and the general public.
