If you are a Data Analyst with experience wanting to work with a small digital marketing agency with a great culture, a variety of clients, with a focus on SMB and specifically pet resorts, we need to talk. We have a diverse team of young and experienced professionals and provide a wide range of digital marketing services including website development, search engine optimization (SEO), paid search management and analytics/reporting. We have a relaxed, but results-oriented and problem-solving culture. We have been a Google Analytics Certified Partner for almost 10 years and help clients implement their websites, track key events and conversions, and report on trends and areas that need improvement. Position is in Austin, TX. Remote working is not an option.
What You Will Be Doing
For this role, we are looking for a data analyst who combines the desire to slice and dice data with the technical skills to implement tracking systems using Google Tag Manager, as well as integrate with charting systems to build reporting dashboards. You need to know how to technically implement but also be astute enough to analyze and report results and interpret the data so key points can be highlighted and recommendations can be made to clients. You must be analytical, quantitative, and statistically driven, but also able to interpret and communicate results in a succinct manner.
Data Tracking – Modify websites to track form completions and events including scroll depth, video plays, and DOM interactions using Google Tag Manager by building event-tracking scripts.
Data Reporting – Extract data from Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Google My Business and other online systems for analysis and reporting. Some data may be housed in a MySQL data warehouse, so good knowledge of the SQL query language is required. This position requires the ability to build queries that summarize results by channel, user type, device type, etc. and provide high-level and actionable business data. Will also be creating reports using Google Data Studio.
Data Analysis – Be able to interpret data to focus on top actionable items that should be communicated and addressed with team members, management and clients.
Charting – Be able to summarize results into software charting systems (Excel, 3rd party cloud apps, etc.) and develop summary presentations in PowerPoint that effectively communicate marketing results and identify items that need action to improve results.
