The Kitchen Leader trains and leads our kitchen staff to meet our store goals on a daily basis. The Kitchen Leader also keeps our team and store aligned with our company’s core values and helps us all to resolve customer questions and complaints with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. The Kitchen Leader creates a back-of-the-house team environment that is high-performing as well as welcoming.
The Kitchen Leader will achieve the following outcomes in either 6 or 12 months of his or her start date:
Submit a revised training program (6 months).
Complete a serve safe certification or recertification program (6 months)
Oversee increase in-store food sales 20 percent over preceding year (12 months)
Design and implement a new store food menu (6 months)
Raise our customer feedback rating on food in particular from 4 to 5 stars (12 months)
Hire and retain 90 percent A-team players (12 months)

Required Knowledge & Experience
The Kitchen Leader knows how to operate the kitchen “soup to nuts” as it were, meaning from beginning to end. The Kitchen Leader’s knowledge base includes best practices in food safety, inventory management, staff management, and equipment maintenance. Kitchen Leaders should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a busy kitchen before assuming the responsibilities of this role.
Wage/Salary Range: $35-40,000+/year. Salary and Benefits negotiable.
