Looking for a licensed optician for my NJ private optometry practice for Tuesdays and Thursdays totaling about 16 hours a week. Great opportunity for a semi-retired or retired optician or someone who already has a part time job and wants a few more hours. Will also consider an apprentice. Pay is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist customers in frame selection of eyeglasses.
- Utilize knowledge of optical products to provide recommendations.
- Insurance knowledge of VSP, spectera and davis vision to process and submit orders and maintain accurate customer records.
-Frame repairs, inspections and dispenses.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to provide the best service possible.
The practice is only six years old and patients are seen every 30 minutes so we are not high volume. Customer service is very important to us, and we pride ourselves on a great patient experience.
