As an Business Support Consultant 3, supporting the PVSI Control Group Business Continuity Implementation Officer (GBCIO), Business Continuity Officer (BCO) and Business Continuity Manager (BCM) you are accountable for execution of all program requirements defined by the Enterprise Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Office. Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
This role is a visible role that must work well with problem solving and a wide variety of responsibilities in a quickly evolving, rapid-paced environment. Strong leadership and relationship building skills with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization is imperative along with a strong bias towards execution and meeting deadlines.
The consultant is an authority on BCP and would review and escalate any exceptions to policy as applicable. The position reviews risks associated with BCP processes/functions. Examples of reporting could be risk acceptances that need to occur by Senior Business and Risk Leaders with exceptions to policy. Inaccurate reporting, artifacts, or irrelevant information could have direct or indirect risk impacts. The candidate will be a partner and work directly with BCA/BCM’s to ensure compliance to policy and methodology within the BCP program.
Ensure that Business Continuity Plans for all business processes are implemented, documented, exercised, maintained, and comply with the Enterprise BCP methodology and BCP Policy
Understand the requirements of Policies and Enterprise programs requirements, with the ability to translate and provide guidance to Business Continuity Managers, Administrator’s, and others who assist with meeting BCP requirements
Understand, maintain, and monitor KRI’s (Key Risk Indicators) within the business continuity programs and create actions plans as needed.
Collaborate with Group Business Continuity Implementation Officers (GBCIOs) in Enterprise BCP (EBCP), and the Line of Business (LOB) to monitor business specific risks and evaluate the adequacy of risk mitigation strategies
Escalate plan deficiencies and risk items as needed to the Business Continuity Officer of the lines of business supported
Test and manage Business Continuity Plans ensuring effectiveness
Provide assistance to mitigate risks and findings identified by Enterprise Business Continuity Planning (EBCP), Wells Fargo Audit Services or regulatory agencies
Develop, maintain and provide reporting for the Target Aggregate Risk Assessment program
Manage incidents as they occur to help mitigate potential risk and loss to the business
Support training activities related to business continuity, business recovery and team member safety

6+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: administrative support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning demonstrated through work or military experience
A BS/BA degree or higher
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access) skills
Other Desired Qualifications
Previous experience with Business Continuity Planning
Previous financial services experience
Previous experience with risk, compliance or controls
Excellent influencing skills to drive executive decision-making and successfully negotiating critical problem resolution
Execution oriented, professional demeanor, self-starter behavior and able to recognize opportunities for improvement in the business and to act on those opportunities
Ability to articulate issues, risks, and propose solutions to various levels of staff and leadership
Track record of managing transformation efforts, preferably in the context of risk management/control
Ability to develop operational reporting and deriving fact-based analysis and insights
Demonstrated history of making timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
