As the Regional Human Resources Manager, you will ensure that Seyfarth operates within the law at all times, offer counsel on human resources related issues, and serve as an effective human resources resource for the Chicago, Charlotte, and Houston offices. You will be a member of the firm’s Human Resources Department, reporting directly to the firm’s CHRO.
On any given day, you will be working with firm leadership, partners, and business colleagues on a variety of requests and projects. You will:
Interpret and implement human resource policies and procedures for attorneys and support staff
Provide guidance and training to directors, managers and supervisors for human resource employee management including counseling, coaching, employee development and retention,warnings and performance improvement plans and termination recommendations.
Work with Office Administrator on the performance management for support staff and paralegals and assist with salary and bonus recommendations.
Work collaboratively with the national HR team including health, welfare, retirement recruiting, HRIS and training as a resource in the Chicago office.
Manage Family Medical Leave and ADA requirements.
Responsible for new hire orientation, onboarding process and staff integration process.
Work with national and local attorney talent development and attorney recruiting to support programs in the Chicago office.
Conduct exit interviews and track turnover analytics.
Participate in Firm-wide project management initiatives.
Liaison between payroll and human resources.
Design and implement employee engagement and recognition programs.
Participate in diversity, pro bono, civic and charitable initiatives.
A bachelor degree in a related field, such as business administration or human resources, is required.
Five plus years of experience in large or mid-size law firms with multiple offices
A strong background in employment law and EEO guidelines, employee management and a working knowledge of health and welfare benefit programs, and recruiting and hiring processes,
Proficiency in viDesktop, Workday, and the Microsoft Office suite of products.
