Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector's, Strategic Space Systems Division, is seeking a Contracts Administrator 2 to support the James Webb Space Telescope and the Military and Civil Space Systems team at their Redondo Beach, CA location.
The selected candidate will perform the full range of life cycle contract administration duties; their primary role will be to perform contract execution tasks. The successful candidate must demonstrate an enthusiasm for learning new tools and processes, as well as a willingness to share knowledge with colleagues, peers, and counterparts.
The selected candidate will have opportunities to interface with all levels of senior management, various functions, and customer counterparts, including Program Management, Business Management, Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads, Global Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Cost Management, and proposal teams, to perform the Contracts Administration responsibilities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provides direct contract administration (such as review and approval of contractual documents) to ensure protection of company's contractual/risk posture, satisfaction of contractual requirements, and adherence to company policies as well as working with subcontract managers to determine appropriate flow downs for subcontract formation
Provides proposal support to cost proposal volumes, supporting fact-finding, and supporting the negotiation process
Reviews and analyzes government or commercial solicitations to understand requirements and advise Program Management of all relevant contract issues
Ensures company proposals are fully responsive to prospective customer requirements
Works with International Trade Compliance to ensure program(s) adhere to all Export/Import requirements
Oversees contract performance by reviewing and approving contract changes, monitoring budget, compliance documents, schedules, deliverables, and recommending actions to ensure mutually satisfactory performance
Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and, as needed, provides interpretation of terms and conditions
Maintains official program records including contractual documents to include, but not limited to, correspondence with customer, Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, contractual and financial management templates, and respond to company data calls for assigned programs
Interfaces with management and customer counterparts
Works as a team player: independent, proactive, and possesses excellent problem solving, oral and written communication, and organizational skills
Bachelor's degree in a business or finance or discipline
2 years' experience in a Contract Administration, Business Management, Subcontracts, Procurement or Pricing role, or 1 year with Master's degree in a business or finance discipline
Familiarity with U. S. Government procurement regulations (FAR/DFAR)
Must have an Active DoD Top Secret and SCI/SSBI
MS Office knowledge (word, excel)
Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)
Experience with U.S. Government contracts
Exposure to Aerospace Industry and Defense Acquisition programs
Familiarity with terms and conditions and/or special contract clauses such as intellectual property and indemnification
Demonstrated knowledge of pricing principles and experience with multiple contracting formats, including Firm Fixed-Price and/or Cost Reimbursable
Knowledge in understanding and interpreting the FAR/DFARs and other U.S. Federal Government contract regulations
Proposal development and negotiation skills
Experience creating and delivering presentations to stakeholders and leadership
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively managing competing priorities and deadlines
Strong organizational, decision making and communication skills that support resolution of complex problems while minimizing risk to the Corporation
