Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and management of accurate, effective, efficient and client friendly operational services in a constantly changing and intensely competitive environment. This position oversees an operational team comprised of Premium, Claims, Treaty Mapping, Document Capture, Data Management, and Data Quality roles that is responsible for providing end-to-end cross-functional support to clients.

  • Key duties and responsibilities
Assist VP, Client Operations to formulate and recommend strategic plans for the Department. Keeping in step with the vision and mission for SCOR Global Life Americas, the position will work with Operations team members to meet short, medium, and long-term objectives, strategies, and plans to achieve corporate goals.
Provide leadership and direction for operational functions in a collaborative environment:
Client statement reconciliation and processing
Cash and transactional suspense
Premium & Claim validations
Administrative audits
Administration systems applications - requirements, testing and implementation of enhancements
Coordinate Operational efforts with other functional area stakeholders – including but not limited to Retro, Sales, Finance, FP&A, Marketing, Legal, Inforce Management, Audit, Underwriting and Actuarial.
Establish metrics to proactively deal with problem situations – production discrepancies, jumbo breaks, premium and volume errors, etc.
Participate in activities to resolve internal and external client issues
Establish processes that reduce expenses, improve efficiencies, increase service, etc.
Validate that administrative systems meet the strategic needs of the Department and SCOR Global Life Americas.
Promote equal and rewarding partnerships with clients.
Monitor administrative controls that correspond with SCOR Global Life's enterprise risk management policies and procedures.

  • Required experience and Education
Management experience and a proven track record in providing leadership and vision to financial and operational functions
Skilled at formulating processes that improve functionality
Effective team member with ability to lead team to successfully complete goals
Strong interpersonal, organization and communication skills
Undergraduate degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting/finance or equivalent
Advanced degree preferred
