Retail
Under close supervision of the Mentoring Specialist, performs a variety of vehicle maintenance, repair and servicing tasks in a mobile environment at the customer’s home or work site. Practices safe driving and emphasizes maintaining a safe work environment while performing all tasks. Interacts daily with customers providing exceptional customer service and serves as the face of Firestone Direct in assigned market.
Carries out assigned duties and responsibilities in a safe and prudent manner as outlined in the Firestone Direct Safety Playbook. Wears Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves and non-slip shoes to help prevent or reduce the risk of serious injury. Practices safe lifting and pushing techniques to avoid back and related injuries.
Adheres to the Firestone Direct Six-Step process to ensure an organized and efficient work process and to promote a consistent BOSS experience.
Provides exceptional customer service to the BOSS on a daily basis, whether in person or over the phone. Communicates to the BOSS in a courteous and professional manner when informing them of their arrival time, the status of their vehicle, results of the digital inspection and recommendations for additional parts and services.
Performs a variety of vehicle maintenance, repair and servicing tasks in a mobile environment including but not limited to:

Completing a digital vehicle inspection and discussing findings and recommendations with the BOSS

Performs lubrication, oil and filter services ensuring correct parts and oil are used

Provides a variety of tire services such as flat repairs, tire replacement including dismounting and mounting tires on the mobile tire changer, tire balancing, checking tire pressure and inspecting tires. Operates tire changer, handles cordless impact wrenches and torque wrenches. Makes recommendations for tire replacement based on visual inspection of tires.

Inspects brakes and recommends new brakes to BOSS if brakes need to be replaced.

Installs batteries, air and cabin filters, checks fluid levels for select systems (e.g. washer fluid) and adds fluid to recommended levels
Ensures Mobile Unit standards of cleanliness, orderliness and appearance of space and equipment within the Mobile units are maintained at all times.
Reviews maintenance and operating efficiency of tools and equipment in the mobile van and notifies the Zone Manager or Assistant Zone Manager of the need for a qualified repair vendor to perform necessary repairs or maintenance to the tools and equipment.
Maintains proper inventory of parts on van and orders additional parts and supplies as needed.
Operates company-owned mobile vans in a safe and prudent manner while adhering to all federal and state laws and company policies and procedures. Travels to BOSS location to service vehicles as well as to parts suppliers to pick up parts and supplies as needed.
Completes all assigned E-Learning modules in a timely manner and remains current on all Firestone Direct policies and procedures.
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by their Zone Manager.
PREFERRED BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

Must be able to read and write to learn basic mechanical tasks, communicate with peers and management and the BOSS, and complete necessary E-Learning modules and other training.

Must have basic computer skills or familiarity with related technology (e.g. tablet) to complete E-Learning modules, communicate with management and the BOSS, enter time worked, etc.

Current and valid drivers license issued by state in which candidate or teammate resides; license cannot be suspended. Any restrictions must be communicated to Zone Manager or Assistant Zone Manager.

0-2 years experience in the automotive service industry and/or graduation from a technical or trade school with an emphasis in automotive repair and maintenance.
