Summary: Assesses and addresses the spiritual needs of patients, families and staff; and conducts chapel services including Sacramental ministry. Administers in many discreet fashions at crucial and crisis moments for patients and families. Functions as a calming presence, working compassionately and efficiently.
Education: Bachelors Degree from and accredited college/university in pastoral ministry theology etc. is or through a combination of a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in an unrelated field with significant ministry/pastoral care experience is essential.
Licensure/Certification: Ordained endorsed or recommended by ones ecclesiastical body is essential. This can be achieved within two years of employment with recommendation from ones ecclesiastical body. Must be able to be commissioned and bonded as a notary public within 90 days of hire. Consideration will be given to candidates without ordination certification or licensure who exhibit extensive pastoral experience.
Experience: Five years of pastoral/ministerial experience is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Respect for all people and excellent documentation are essential.
