Digital Marketing Analyst Overview
The Digital Marketing Analyst provides support to two vital areas of the business. The first area is around PPC / SEM advertising. The candidate in this position will analyze data across multiple platforms in order to find and implement changes aimed at optimizing our PPC campaigns within Google AdWords and Bing Ad Center. The second area the candidate will support is with the analysis of our websites and company data aimed at improving the customer experience and overall sales performance. Included in this area of support is the creation and maintenance of various reports.
The ideal candidate will have experience with: extracting large data sets across varying platforms (i.e. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics), manipulating and analyzing the data with various tools (i.e. Excel), providing meaningful recommendations, and implementing changes within the PPC interfaces (i.e. Google AdWords, Bing Ad Center).
The things you will be doing as the Digital Marketing Analyst:
Manager of paid search advertising including bid management, keyword research, and campaign strategy utilizing web analytics data and sales data
Analyze data from multiple sources and make recommendations to improve sales performance and efficiency
Create website recommendations and test the changes to drive better funnel navigation and conversion.
Provide analytical insights to other marketing teams across a variety of tools and activities (i.e. website A-B testing, email platforms, personalization)
Keep current on general digital marketing news and developments through recommended sources such as blogs, industry websites, magazines and message boards
Be available to attend digital marketing conferences or other opportunities to further knowledge and expertise
Other duties and projects as assigned
The successful SEO Specialist will have the following background & skills:
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Highly analytical and logical
Comfortable with spreadsheets, numbers and the analytical tools provided
Capable of performing analyses to draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations
Work effectively in both autonomous and team-oriented situations
Ability to handle many projects and duties concurrently
Attention to detail
Strong desire to learn
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, marketing, mathematics or other research fields
1+ years providing meaningful data to a company or organization
Experience with Google AdWords and Microsoft AdCenter
Experience with a web analytics package (I.e. Adobe Analytics, Coremetrics, Google Analytics, etc.)
Background in quantitative analytics, search marketing, web analytics, strong knowledge of statistics and/or familiarity with e-commerce issues
