(FULL Time – Salary Position)
CyberLynk is currently seeking an experienced VoIP Engineer to join our team to support the growth of our unmanaged and managed Hosted Phone System services. This position would primarily be providing support for our hosted FreePBX customers, but will provide some support for 3CX, Netsapiens, and Zultys as well.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide support via phone and ticket system to end users and system administrators for FreePBX, 3CX, Netsapiens, Zultys and other related software
- Perform initial diagnostic evaluation, address technical issues, and provide end user education and instruction
- Troubleshoot phone features and application issues
- Resolve issues within the scope and control of the service offering
- Provide guidance to end users in procedures and policy for the administration and security of both the endpoint and the server
- Refer issues that are not remotely solvable by the help desk technician to the appropriate team resource for resolution
- Track status, inform, and escalate tickets as necessary to ensure compliance to all service level agreements (SLAs) and expectations of Client
- Provide prompt and accurate services with regards to status of Incident or Change requests to our customers
- Participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation with peers
- Work on technical projects, working with staff and vendors to gather requirements, scope technical efforts, determine solutions, setup project tasks/plans, and implement those solutions
- Lead assigned VoIP projects from initial conversations to final completion
- Prepare design specification plans as per customer requirement and provide appropriate enterprise solutions for architecture
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years experience as a VoIP Engineer
- 1+ years of recent experience as a FreePBX administrator
- 3+ years of experience performing administrative tasks via the Linux command line
- Background in IT or in a Data Center environment
- Experience with system monitoring and automation
- Knowledge of networking as related to VoIP
- Experience in the design and planning of VoIP solutions for customers
- Understanding of E911 Requirements for Kari’s Law, Ray Baum’s Act, etc.
- Knowledge of SMS / 10DLC industry requirements
- Knowledge of STIR/SHAKEN
- Experience working with SIP carriers
- Experience capturing and examining SIP traffic with Wireshark, sngrep, etc.
- Familiarity with security best practices for FreePBX and VoIP products in general
- Scripting experience, particularly with Bash
- Prior experience in software as service architectures (SaaS)
Job Desirables (Preferred):
- 4 year degree from accredited college/university or equivalent real world experience
- A+, CCNA, MCP, Linux Certifications, etc.
- Experience with 3CX, Netsapiens, or Zultys
- Experience with SBCs such as Sansay VSXi or Telcobridges ProSBC
- Experience with Ubiquiti Unifi and Edgemax products
- Experience with Fortigate firewalls
- Monitoring tools such as Nagios, Solarwinds, Cacti, etc.
- Version control systems such as Github, Bitbucket, etc.
- Collaboration tools such as Slack or Microsoft Teams
- Documentation tools like Confluence, IT Glue, etc.
