Why this role?
The Nurse Writer Consultant will be responsible for researching and creating clinical and educational content for internal and external audiences. This role requires a highly resourceful individual with excellent writing and organizational skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and an optimistic “can do” attitude—as we build the new commercial component of Remedy’s business.
The Nurse Consultant will work directly with the Senior Director and Senior Analyst of Clinical Operations and may be needed to serve as Remedy Partners’ clinical subject matter expert at sales meetings. This role can be accomplished remotely, but is preferred for the consultant to be able to come into the office at least once every other week (either New York or Norwalk, CT offices). This position is a six-month commitment, with the opportunity to renew the contract. The approximate hourly rate will be $85-90/hr for a maximum of 30 hours/week.
Are you right for this job?
We are looking for someone with:
Nurse certification (e.g., LPN, RN, MSN)
Experience in healthcare, particularly Insurance companies or health plans
Knowledge of applying and interpreting applicable criteria and clinical guidelines
Strong written or oral communication skills (background in academia is a plus)
Understanding of standardized care management plans, policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Ability to assess benefits and/or members’ needs to ensure appropriate administration of benefits
Experience with direct patient care
Expertise in developing care plans
Knowledge of patient risk assessments and quality measures
3-5 years of clinical experience, or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
What will you do?
Create clinical and educational content for providers and insured members
Create workflows on episodes of care to help determine intervention points for an episode of care
Assist in content development for medical and clinical policies
Add to the clinical library of available resources (e.g., risk assessments)
Write clinical blog posts (published on Remedy’s website)
Interface with Medical Directors and Physician Advisors on medical policies
