JOB TITLE: Systems Engineer - EGI

The individual will support the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Program Office (PNT PO) with modernization of a variety of existing GPS receivers to meet existing DoD / civil mandates and DoD / national-level priorities
Duties will include planning, guiding, and executing technical aspects of GPS User Equipment (UE) and support of multiple platform integration efforts.
Will work with senior government personnel on a regular basis, and will frequently be called on to provide technical briefings.
Will also serve as a technical advisor to government personnel.
This position will be assigned at government offices at Robins AFB GA.

Responsible for providing technical management and engineering support services to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of multiple PNT PO GPS modernization programs. Services include some or all of the following:

Perform Systems Engineering planning, requirements generation, and task development and execution for GPS UE programs

Overseeing GPS UE projects to include:
Sustainment of legacy systems
Modernization/Modifications to all GPS UE including antennas, antenna electronics, receivers, and navigation equipment
Independent Validation & Verification test activities
Anti-Jamming & Anti-Spoofing support
Create training environment for GPS UE equipment
Evaluate new technologies for GPS UE application
Evaluate GPS Threats and their influence on GPS UE
Developing / evaluating technical requirements, program strategies, memorandums of agreement, statements of work and acquisition plans
Conducting engineering trade studies and technical analyses
Evaluating development, integration, and fielding of modernized GPS systems into Joint Service platforms
Evaluating Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) performance on program office contracts

Security Clearance: Secret

Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (experience in lieu of degree may be considered based on accumulated technical experience)
At least 10 years related experience
Experience working with a Defense Working Capital Funded Activity
At least 1 tour at AF/Army/Navy Product/Logistics Center assigned to a System Program Office (or civilian / industry equivalent)
Experience with defense acquisition management processes as contained in the DoD 5000 series directives
Clear understanding of the OSD and USAF Acquisition and Sustainment organization
Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)

15 years related experience
Experience with GPS integration on military platforms
Level II DAWIA Certification in Systems Planning, Research, Development & Engineering
