Ulteig is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of a Design Electrical Engineer in our Fargo, ND Office working in the Renewable Energy group. The design engineer performs routine engineering tasks and investigations or observations under supervision of an engineer. They also develop plans, specifications and observation reports to see that items are complete, accurate and in accordance with sound engineering practice.

Responsibilities:
Applies current, standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to complete engineering tasks.
Develops plans, specifications, and observation reports to see that these items are complete, accurate and in accordance with sound engineering practice.
Practices efficiency engineering as it pertains to design selection.
Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality.
Works closely with engineering technicians and experienced civil, structural and electrical engineers.
Performs detailed engineering design and evaluations within specialty.
Prepares reports and correspondence concerning the direction of assigned projects.
May participate in marketing, sales and business development activities within assigned market.
Demonstrates a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
Effectively communicates and interacts with clients to ensure we are meeting their needs.
Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required, ABET accredited program or equivalent required
EIT certification preferred or the ability to take the exam within 6 months
Engineering internship experience preferred
Experience with AutoCAD required
Knowledge of electrical calculation software preferred
Ability to perform electrical studies preferred
Independently completes assigned tasks required
Actively manages individual workload required
Must be analytical, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work in high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic attitude
Excellent presentation and verbal/written communications skills· Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, clients and external agencies
Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S
