The Sr. Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing and providing oversight in a variety of HR functions including performance management, HR systems, reporting and analytics, benefits, leaves of absences, employee relations and on-boarding of new employees. Our Manager works closely with our HR Coordinator to deliver top notch services, resources and programs to our employees in the utmost professional and sensitive manner.

  • Serves as another HR professional on the team that consults with management and employees on the human resources programs and plan offerings.
  • Leads and administers the performance management process across the firm and manages continuous improvement in the overall process and systems.
  • Manages and maintains our HRIS system including design and updates to the system, reporting and data analytics, and maintains a partnership with our vendor to optimize the way employees interact with our system.
  • Manages and administers our benefits programs and offerings, leaves of absences, and workers compensation policies.
  • Partners with our Employee Relations Director on employee experience, engagement, and retention. Participates in exit interviews to provide additional analysis and input on trending retention analytics.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations; existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to the requirements; advising management on needed actions. Manages and updates the Employee Manual on an ongoing basis.
  • Provides oversight to our HR Coordinator in the areas of on-boarding, off-boarding, benefits/wellness administration, HRIS and performance management administration.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field. PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources with steady progression and experience in multi HR disciplines. Previous experience in financial or professional services desirable but not required.
  • Expert HRIS experience and hands-on experience with the design, reporting, workflow, and transactional programs within the system. Experience with UltiPro highly desirable.
  • Experience with coordination of a performance management process and software system.
  • Demonstrated competencies including customer service, collaboration, effective communication skills (written and verbal), and the ability to influence a course of action on critical, complex or sensitive information. Excellent presentation, facilitation, and listening skills are a must.
  • Must have strong knowledge of Federal and CA employment laws and regulations.
  • Must work well independently and as part of a team to build effective internal and external relationships.
  • Must be able to act in an ethical manner and maintain highly confidential, sensitive and proprietary information.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and process improvement focus a must. A true role model when it comes to self-improvement and change.
