About the Role
This position is responsible for providing Finance analytical support to the Professional Division. The key areas of focus will be financial planning and budgeting, advanced analysis, and accounting analysis for sales and contribution margins, selling and marketing expenses, regional P&Ls and other P&L and balance sheet items related to Sales and Marketing. This position is also responsible for completing complex management reports and financial models, process improvement initiatives, and developing recommendations for change.
This position is within HARMAN’s Professional Solutions Division, based in Northridge, CA.
What You Will Do
Analyze and evaluate the company’s operating results and financial position and help develop and manage complex budgets and forecasts.
Perform month-end close activities including consolidations of financial results and financial reporting and management presentations.
Manage budgeting models and processes, including compiling, analyzing and reconciling monthly budgets and actual spending to review with budget owners.
Coordinate with all levels of management across the division in order to gather, analyze, and prepare management reports and establish databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing plans and forecasts.
Work with accounting department and project managers to capitalize and maintain the assets under construction and fixed asset accounts as they relate to Operations.
What You Need
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Economics
1-3 years of finance and accounting experience in a large established company in a related industry
Strong knowledge of forecasting and financial analysis and modeling processes
Knowledge of SAP and Business Intelligence reporting systems, Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
Strong analytical, written, verbal and organizational skills, ability to think independently and function well in a team environment with the ability to adapt to changing work priorities without loss of accuracy or time.

What Makes You Eligible
