Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a newly opened (July, 2018) 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services.
In addition to a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the new facility will also offer services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women’s trauma unit. LBHH features a modern EMR and automated medication dispensing system to complement our evidence-based approach to treatment and wellness.
LBHH will be a six unit facility that provides highly specialized services, which includes multi-disciplinary teams providing high quality, innovative, and evidence-based care to adolescents and adults.

The Manager - Risk Management at Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital deliver quality care to patients with varying psychiatric, behavioral and mental health diagnoses, ensuring their safety and continued care.
An employee in the role of Manager - Risk Management directs the process of establishing a comprehensive and integrated risk management program which meets regulatory standards for both the hospital and the PHP/IOP components. The Director of Risk strives to emphasize an organization – wide approach in regards to continually meeting and /or exceeding licensing and accreditation standards, in order to deliver quality care, safety and cost–effective treatment. This position assists in ensuring the development, implementation and evaluation of policies, programs and services consistent with the facility’s goals and objectives, and actively participates in a leadership role by consulting with facility management in designing and providing total patient care and services.

What Does LBHH Require for this Role?
Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, compliance or other related field, Master's Preferred
Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management preferred.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience risk management activities in a hospital, psychiatric hospital, or mental health treatment setting preferred. Knowledgeable regarding Joint Commission accreditation standards. Experience interpreting State and Federal standards related to hospital operations required.
May work flexible hours and float to different units depending on the needs of the hospital.
