JOB DESCRIPTION
Exciting opportunity to be part of the Banking Payments, New Payments Rails (NPR) Product team which drives strategic initiatives, engages with the industry and delivers the next generation of payment products. This individual will work directly with the leadership team and will be responsible for input on the strategy, communication of the strategy with leadership and partners and work with key stakeholders in planning out the details to execute the strategy.
The Vice President, New Payment Rails Strategy & Planning will have an exciting opportunity to work side-by-side with the New Payment Rails Product Lead to drive strategic initiatives which expand or develop new payment capabilities such as Pay by Bank and all types of instant payments. This includes assessing opportunities from a customer experience, delivery, business case and industry / competitor perspective and providing recommendations to senior management. This role partners with key product leads, strategy, and other banking payments partners to define, document, and communicate the strategy and product vision, serve as a strategic advisor for Payments products, and influence objectives & key results. As a part of delivering end-to-end support across Payments products, your responsibilities will include:
Job responsibilities
- Develop C-level executive level presentations on product strategy, priorities, and impact
- Shape team communications including our updates to C-suite, bringing together our NPR priorities, best practices, business value, status reports and success stories
- Synthesize product performance in light of competitive dynamics and trends, customer perception and behavior, and transaction patterns in partnership with Analytics
- Manage and Coordinate end-to-end, including legal and business approvals, for internal and external deliverables and documents that drive socialization and alignment for NPR key objectives and milestones (monthly cabinet meetings, external stakeholder meetings, etc.)
- Collaborating with Banking Payment leads, Strategy and Corporate Development, Risk, the Corporate and Investment Bank, as needed, to ensure that we are taking an overall Payments view in our approach to new initiatives
- Engage and build relationships with stakeholders across Product, Technology, Design, Analytics, Operations, Risk, Controls, Finance and the Lines of Business

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum 5 years in Strategy/Technology consulting or Banking/Fintech roles space with prior Business Management experience
- Well versed in both business and technology to serve as an efficient liaison between business strategy functions and the key stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and data-focused approach to help define roadmap and prioritization with a focus on detail and following through
- Ability to analyze opportunities & problems, recommend solutions, communicate effectively (both verbal and written) and resolve roadblocks as needed
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives to completion under concurrent, rigorous, and regulatory deadlines in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Bachelor’s degree
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Advanced degree in applicable field (Masters, MBA) is preferred
- Knowledge of the Payments space with strong preference for prior Consulting experience
- Thought leader who looks for innovation opportunities for our clients and operational improvement opportunities for our firm
- Experience working with products requiring strong controls and risk-management focus
- Experience with the Atlassian suite products
