The Position

Sunfinity Renewable Energy (SRE) is looking for a proven VP of Operations who will share our enthusiasm about the renewable industry and changing the world with sunshine. We have a growing installation pipeline of customers excited to go Solar with SRE. We have a growing network of sales channels feeding the installation pipeline daily. The VP of Operations will lead the company’s efforts in the designated region to maintain and manage installations, personnel, timeliness to PTO, and to ensure both quality and quantity results across P&L metrics.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop an Installation network across the defined region to service the growing need
  • Services will include site surveys, permitting, installation, and general customer service
  • Develop and maintain processes to integrate the given region with division and corporate offices, personnel, and executive management team
  • Manage timeliness of installation pipeline against pre-determined KPI’s
  • Leverage knowledge of the competitive landscape on installation pricing
  • Ensure completion of project paperwork from lender from NTP to utility PTO
  • Ensure Installation quality assurance, NEC code compliance and manufacturer standards are maintained
  • Maintain competitive knowledge on pricing, best practices and products
  • Train and coach local support staff as production grows
  • Monitor and drive Installers performance and report on various metrics on a recurring basis to the EVP of Operations
  • Collaborate with Sales on providing a level of service that is superior to the competition, maintain happy customer and satisfied sales teams
  • Create a culture of success – demonstrate excellence in all operational activities
  • Travel for in-person meetings with install partners and perform spot checks on installations to ensure quality relationships
  • Develop relationships with sales teams to instill confidence in the process and ability to execute on quality and timeliness
  • Manage the day to day activities of internal operations team, install partners and customer interaction

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor level degree in finance, business, or engineering, or may substitute with related discipline degree with proved experience with and knowledge of P&L accountabilities
  • State level contractor’s license as an electrician, solar installer, or general contractor (must have current/active status or previous experience as an RME/RMO).
  • Excellent analytical skills with understanding of financial concepts (IRR, ROI, etc.)
  • Sound judgmental and decision-making capability; ability to respond promptly to the needs of the customer, solicit feedback to improve service and respond to requests for service/assistance in an expeditious manner
  • Proficiency in computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint and email communications
  • Self-motivated with an interest in marketing and the renewable energy/ solar industry
  • Ability to adapt and work in an intensive, fast-paced, fun environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Eagerness to take ownership of responsibilities
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, organize, manage and prioritize multiple deliverables
