We are currently seeking a Manager, Global Inventory to join the LifeNet Health team in our Virginia Beach, VA location.
The Manager, Global Inventory provides leadership and oversight of the Product Inventory departments, and global inventory control standards & practices and production materials/supplies inventory. Responsible for inventory accuracy across multiple sites and locations. Collaborates with OEM partners on inventory management activities.
You would be expected to perform all tasks assigned to you, including but not limited to:
Maintains accurate inventory control of finished goods and manage the receipt, transfer and storage of tissue. Manages the inventory of LifeNet’s tissue and communicates with the Planning Department to ensure effective inventory control. Responsible for cycle counts, root cause analysis and stock adjustments to ensure inventory accuracy. Coordinates and runs annual physical inventory for all locations.
Develops and implement standard inventory control practices across all LifeNet Health product inventory locations, including but not limited to distribution warehouses, intermediaries, consignment locations and production supplies/materials locations. Ensures and enforces policies are consistent with GMP/GTP, AATB and ISO standards.
Collaborates with OEM tissue partners on inventory management and critical stock situations. Collaborates with Production Planning to ensure OEM needs and priorities are adequately reflected in production schedules.
Analyzes production plans and inventory forecasts, and translates these inputs to provide adequate staffing and equipment to support operations for the Product Inventory team. Identifies and manages the development of new processes and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
Maintains strong leadership and managerial skills with a strong emphasis on goal setting, accountability, coaching and mentoring subordinates. Supervises Product Inventory staff performance via appraisals and goal setting. Conducts employee improvement action plans and disciplinary action as needed. Assists with technical training, education, interviewing and hiring.
Manages all department expenses and costs, develops and leads cost reduction projects, and insures a Lean culture is prevalent. Assists the Director, Planning and Logistics with department budget submission regarding all aspects of the budgeting process, including future capital and operation equipment needs.
Processes customer complaints, non-conformances and internal errors and develops effective corrective and preventative actions.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related field
5 years supervisory/management experience
3 years related supply chain management experience
3 years enterprise requirements planning experience
Master’s Degree in Business Administration
APICS certification, CPIM or CSCP certifications
7 years management experience
5 years related supply chain management experience
3 years enterprise requirements planning or SAP
5 years experience working in tissue banking, medical device or related industry
5 years production planning management
5 years capacity modeling
