The Heritage Service Group will be the premier service company in every market we enter. Technicians are the forefront of our image and the key to building a better stronger company. Technicians must be polite and professional while dealing with all customers. Every technician is responsible for continued education to improve their skills and our service to customers. This will be done by attending manufacturers training seminars as well as personal study to become and maintain CFESA certification as a Master Technician. Sharing and teaching new information after training is important for the continued growth of all technicians. Maintaining and obtaining certifications necessary to operate in cities, counties, states and parishes is all part of a technicians continued growth and improvement. The image we project is the image we will live by and the HFSE image is professional.

The service vehicle is another source of image. As a technician you will be responsible for maintaining your vehicle, documenting its service records and presenting it to the public as a true marketing tool. Inventory and literature must be maintained in an orderly manner and accountability for inventory rests solely in your hands. Refrigeration tanks, both new and reclaimed must be stored in a manner approved by the D. O. T. at all times. Records pertaining to your refrigerants must be up to date at all times.

As a technician your communication skills must be accurate and thorough. You will be reporting to the customer and your support staff on a daily and sometimes hourly basis. Paper work must be current at all times. From time to time you will be required to prepare a bill for a collect customer and collect the money. Your reporting process will be the basis for the wages paid to you bi-weekly. Purchasing parts locally and reporting these items will be necessary also. Accuracy is of the utmost importance.

Our ability to serve the customer in a timely manner depends on our communication our equipment, your skills and your tools. Our technicians must maintain tool insurance as our vehicle insurance does not include your personal tools. We have a minimum tool list requirement, but you will find it does not include many tools necessary to efficiently perform service. Without the right tools, you can not work. Serving our customers is a 24 hour per day task which continues 365 days per year. A specified technician is always on call because somewhere there is always someone serving food and we must be prepared to serve their need when necessary.

As a technician you will test your troubleshooting skills for electric, gas, steam, plumbing, microwave, refrigeration and electronics. You will be required to work in some adverse conditions at some unusual hours of the day due to the nature of this business. Always keep safety for the customer and yourself in the forefront of your mind. Safety is part of your job and often you will generate new jobs because you see an unsafe situation with a piece of equipment. Being observant and pointing out non functional equipment or faulty parts will improve your productivity and ensure your success as a technician enticing the customer to want to call Heritage Service Group again for assistance. Odds are, that customer will ask for YOU.
