Coordinates medical staff activities and acts as liaison between the medical staff and administration to ensure that the administrative responsibilities of the medical staff are met. Communicates and connects directly with our physicians to provide an exceptional working experience and to anticipate the needs of current and future physicians. This position will serve as an advocate by assisting in problem resolution, eliminating barriers and enhancing opportunities. This position will understand our necessary processes and create an experience. Works with new physicians to on-board, current physicians to enrich their experience to become better caregivers and assist with difficult situations, as an advocate. Plans, develops, and organizes the operations of medical staff services to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of the hospital as well as meeting the
requirements of the medical staff bylaws, Joint Commission (JC) standards, and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory and/or accrediting agencies.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum of 5 years previous experience in healthcare field, preferably in the Medical Staff Office.
