Full Job Description
We are seeking an Agile Coach for our DMS team to work closely with our Payment Services Business Technology area. As an Agile Coach, you will execute on improvement strategies utilizing Lean and Agile methods. Working at the program and team level, we need you to coach and facilitate the execution of the improvements.
Responsible for coaching & training agile teams and leaders on Discover's Agile principles & processes. Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Agile and scaled Agile development methods and processes and changing the mindset in order to adopt and improve Agile methods and practices. Applies Lean thinking to specific issues to teams in order to bring a holistic approach to maturing an Agile team. Able to continuously enable the teams to deliver customer value rapidly.
Supports Agile adoption by providing training, workshops, and assessments. Effectively collaborates with teams and individuals to continuously evolve processes and align to Agile transformation strategy. Captures metrics and leverages metrics to monitor/enhance team’s performance and Agile maturity level.
Implements current and future Agile development processes by coaching teams and leaders on changes required to transform existing development practices to agile methodologies. Enables teams to adopt and improve agile methods and serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Organizes, leads, and motivates multiple teams, clarifying objectives and removing obstacles through the use of the assessments.
Improves delivery performance through coaching and mentoring on team roles, tools, processes, and ceremonies.
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
Bachelor's Degree Business Administration or Computer Science, or related field
6+ years Scrum, Agile, Scaled Agile, or related experience
In lieu of a degree, 8+ years Scrum, Agile, Scaled Agile, or related experience
