This fast paced Sr. position requires on-site desktop support in New York, NY. Candidate will provide platinum level desktop support to roughly 900 high touch traders/executives/admins/sales and support staff. Provides desktop support services for both software and hardware for the organization. Will be well versed in identifying and developing methods, techniques, diagnostic tools or criteria to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve moderately complex desktop and desktop related hardware, software, operating systems and network problems. Analyzes client/trader needs and reviews technical alternatives to determine their impact on the client and systems environment. Participates in the planning, installation and implementation of new or modified desktop and desktop related hardware, software, applications or operating systems to meet clients’ requirements. Provides and updates documentation and knowledgebase articles for support related activities. Major contributor to business and enterprise focused project work. Provides leadership in resolution of desktop related compliance remediation efforts. Participates in planning and execution of desktop related IMAC work. Rotating shift and on-call pager support and occasional after hours work are to be expected.
5+ years of PC/LAN analysis experience
5+ years of Microsoft Windows server or Desktop Operating System support experience
3+ years of LAN (Local Area Network) experience
3+ years of mobile platforms experience
5+ years of MS Active Directory experience
3 + years of PowerShell scripting experience
Intermediate troubleshooting and problem solving skills with Windows XP and Windows
Desktop and laptop hardware configurations experience including: Dell, HP and Lenovo
Experience supporting printer configuration, repairs, and maintenance
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Scripting and automation experience
Experience supporting Citrix infrastructure and hosted applications
1+ year of experience with encryption technologies

Expert in supporting Windows operating systems (5 years)
