Position: Clerical Support Specialist - PMR
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm
Location: Allentown, PA

General Responsibilities Under the Direct Supervision of the Physician:
Prompt, friendly greeting of patients and visitors to Coordinated Health via phone
Follow up on all tasks assigned to the physician’s team
Gather necessary information on potential new patients to present to the physician
Schedule patient for follow-up visit and/or testing
Provide prompt timely response to telephone or electronic requests for appointments and information
Return phone calls to patients and other at the request of the physician or other provider
Schedule and reschedule appointments at the request of the physician or other provider
Enter medication refills in the electronic system for physician approval
Verify PDMP website as appropriate for initial prescriptions and refills
Address patient complaints, problems, or concerns and present to the provider for approval
Contact patients with lab results at the request of the physician or other provider
Schedule peer-to-peer call with the provider if requested and gather necessary data
Complete forms as requested by the provider
Works collaboratively with other departments to align with the company’s vision and goals
Assists the other departments with various projects on an as needed basis
Any other tasks or projects as assigned by supervision
May be required to rotate to other Coordinated Health locations as assigned
Experience, Knowledge, and Education Requirements
Minimum of year of previous medical office experience or relevant healthcare background
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred
Strong customer service skills
Strong verbal communication skills
Strong problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others
Must be computer literate
Complete HR annual mandatory education
Complete annual Mosby’s competencies
Complete TST form annually
Must be able to regularly access and use general office equipment including phones, computers, copiers, etc.
Must be able to work in a busy, often distracting work environment that is generally climate controlled.
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds unassisted on an occasional basis.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
