This job contributes to Starbucks success by managing the planning, coordination, and continual improvement of enterprise wide cybersecurity tools.
A successful manager of reliability and engineering at Starbucks is a self-starter, a natural problem solver, collaborative, and able to work well with adversity and ambiguity. You should have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and a strong engineering background. This position is accountable for the engineering, configuration, monitoring, analysis, maintenance, and technical support of Global Cybersecurity Services (GCS) platforms.
Success for the role will be through extensive use of automation to enable delivery of a world class reliability and engineering program that empowers other GCS teams to address, contain, and drive successful resolution to any cybersecurity situation.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Planning and Execution - Developing strategic and tactical plans for the team, managing execution, and measuring results:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects and enhancements.
Develop requirements, Plan and manage process and practices to ensure delivery of a world class engineering program.
Technical Design and Implementation - Providing technical expertise and executing technical responsibilities:
Partner with other teams in to continuously improve and advance the organizations operational security capabilities.
Collaborate with other teams to define and implement service’s which will include monitoring across all GCS platforms to ensure continuous availability and operational continuity of critical systems.
Lead the team with a vision to combine software development, networking and systems engineering expertise deliver operational excellence.

Ensures that the appropriate support documentation exists.
Leads team through high severity operational incidents.
7+ years of experience working in an information technology discipline
5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity
5+ years of experience of leading and developing highly performing teams
Knowledge in application development and supporting a development environment
Demonstrated experience implementing and managing high capacity, redundant, and mission critical environments
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CIPM, or others focused on cybersecurity, data privacy or information risk management.
5+ years utilizing logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions, and/or similar solutions as a system administrator
