Brookhaven Capital Partners is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join its team. The ideal candidate will perform general bookkeeping for Brookhaven's various investment companies as well as manage the office and provide the company's executives with administrative support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping

  • Performs general bookkeeping for several owned companies utilizing QuickBooks.
  • Performs bank account reconciliations, processing of payroll and payables, and forecasting of expenses and funding requirements in the normal course of business.
  • Prepares and presents monthly financial statements.
  • Coordinates with company’s external accountants and tax advisors.

Office Management

  • Manages/processes information from email accounts, mail correspondence, and telephone calls daily.
  • Manages office environment, office and kitchen supplies, office equipment, purchasing and other general office duties.

Administrative / Project Support

  • Develops and maintains information to support projects, including research on people and companies.
  • Organizes personal/business contacts, mailing, office files, legal documents, engineering reports and other related documents.
  • Coordinates meetings to host potential prospects and other informational meetings.
  • Coordinates travel and prepares expense reports.
  • A team-player that efficiently and effectively interacts with other internal executives, external business leaders, and public figures.
  • Organizes, assembles and prepares marketing materials.
  • Identifies and independently resolves problems in a timely manner.
  • Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED, secondary education preferred.
  • Bookkeeping, administrative support experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint).
  • Professionally-minded, is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance/effectiveness.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, becoming proficient in delivering results without guidance or detailed directions/instructions.

Salary: $35,000.00 to $40,000.00 /year
