What does a Delivery Distribution Center Maintenance Mechanic II do?
A Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for performing a wide variety of maintenance and construction jobs including carpentry, metal fabrication, minor electrical wiring, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, assigned cleaning and safety inspections, painting, and plumbing tasks pertinent to the general up-keep and maintenance of the distribution center and equipment.
Job responsibilities include:
Performs all maintenance work, inspections or checks as directed by work orders generated by the computerized maintenance management system or maintenance supervisor.
Generates appropriate paperwork (i.e., report writing).
May assist in training and providing work direction to other mechanics.
What are the Professional Requirements of a Delivery Distribution Center Maintenance Mechanic II?
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to lift and maneuver up to 75 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
1 year experience in minor carpentry, electrical, and/or plumbing
