What You’ll Do:
- Set Operating Goals: Collaborate with owners and partners to set operating goals and objectives that ensure the success of the establishment.
- SOP Implementation: Prepare and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and efficiency in all operations.
- Shift Management: Coordinate restaurant operations with the management team and staff during each shift to ensure consistent, successful services. Create and implement systems to maintain the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction.
- Team Supervision: Supervise the entire staff during each shift, supporting their needs throughout the service to ensure smooth operations.
- Guest Interaction: Engage with guests to enhance their experience, building strong relationships and ensuring their satisfaction with our product and service. Work closely with the maître d’ team to acknowledge and grow relationships with VIP guests, continually striving to create unique and exceptional experiences.
- Staffing and Recruitment: Oversee staffing requirements and recruitment, ensuring proper protocol and compliance with onboarding and offboarding. Focus on maximizing retention and growth for employees while adjusting staffing as necessary.
Who You Are:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a related field, preferably in fine dining. Prior Michelin Experience a plus!
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and maintain a professional and warm disposition, even in times of stress.
- Guest Relations: Proven experience in establishing great guest relationships as a manager with the ability to create and maintain a welcoming environment.
- Culinary Knowledge: Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with the ability to recall and explain ingredients effectively and hospitably to guests and staff.
- Professional Maturity: High level of responsibility, organization, and the ability to manage change, solve problems, and reprioritize tasks as needed.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and communicate effectively with both guests and staff. Proficiency in calculating figures and applying common sense to solve problems in a standardized environment.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Spanish and other languages are a plus.
Relocation Required: Candidates must be willing to relocate to Houston, Texas, to seize this incredible opportunity.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
· Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces.
· Bend legs downward and forward by bending the leg and spine.
· Stand for sustained periods of time.
· Perform substantial repetitive movements of the wrist, hands, and fingers.
· Raise objects from lower to higher positions or move objects horizontally from position to position.
· Use upper extremities to exert force to draw, drag, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion.
· Work in a well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned indoor office/production setting with adequate ventilation.
· Push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
· Work a minimum of 50 hours per week.
