School-Based Behavior Interventionist (Full-time or Part-time)

School-Based Behavior Interventionist Job Description
As a Behavior Interventionist, you will work in elementary, middle, and/or high school classrooms in Kellogg School District. You will be overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) from Tamarack to implement 1:1 programming with Autistic children and other children with developmental disabilities. Candidates must be able to collaborate as part of a team since they will be working with teachers and administrative staff in the district. Ideal candidates will be passionate about supporting all students and respecting the dignity and autonomy of Autistic people.

School-Based Behavior Interventionist Job Duties
- Provide direct 1:1 support to children with varying developmental disabilities in their school
- Follow therapy instructions from supervising BCBA
- Follow rules and regulations for Kellogg School District
- Maintain the highest standard of care for all students
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Maintain the confidentiality of students and families
- Collaborate professionally with students' treatment teams, including teachers, specialists, administrative staff, caregivers, and outside professionals
- Attend required training to maintain and acquire technical knowledge
**Should you choose to work at Tamarack during school breaks, there will be additional job duties related specifically to behavior analytic services in the clinic, home, and community**
School-Based Behavior Interventionist Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma
- Ability to pass a background check
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, walk, run, jump, climb, and crawl
- Successful completion of 40-hour training within two weeks of employment
- Ability to work with significant interfering/problem behavior
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and respond to corrective feedback
- Ability to work a consistent school schedule
- Individuals fitting only these requirements would be paid $19 - $20/hour
School-Based Behavior Interventionist Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field
- Experience implementing ABA programs
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Experience working with people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (specifically, 1,040 hours of supervised experience which may equate to 6 months of full-time work)
- Individuals fitting these requirements in addition to the minimum requirements listed above would be paid $20 - $22/hour depending on level of experience
