We are looking for a passionate individual with Operations Management experience. This individual must be able to multi-task, work quickly and efficiently, and be adaptable to change priorities and tasks as needed. We have a very fast- paced environment as we continue to grow and expand. Must be motivated, trustworthy, and a team player.
Lead production and operational management teams ensuring collaboration and cross-departmental efficiencies
Coordinate and monitor workings of all departments; Create strategies to help improve the efficiency of support for Supply Chain, Production, Sales Operations, IT, HR, Accounting
Plan and monitor the day-to-day running to ensure the smooth progress of production facility
Collaborate with superiors to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
Manage the overall welfare of management team- provide coaching, mentor, provide constructive feedback/suggestions, help w/ difficult conversations, advise on effective management strategies, expand skill sets, council, encourage and provide opportunities to excel, provide additional resources when necessary, assist when faced with challenging situations and provide creative and strategic solutions
Lead by example of instilling a cohesive solution based team mentality
Ensure business is operated within the company’s mission and core values
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Lead weekly meetings with the management team to discuss supply/demand, foreseen issues, keep up to date on departmental happenings, relay new projects, discuss upcoming information, encourage cross-department communication and shared team leadership
Oversee facility supply and packaging needs
Address company policy violations when notified by PR, HR, IT, Security, with the offending employee and department manager, determine severity of disciplinary action
Approve/deny odd costs, department specific celebrations, weekend shift lunches, etc
Track white label developments: help educate project manager and coordinate w/ lab and production for hardware trials and getting customer samples, track shipments, progress, plan production time and communicate extra foreseen labor costs
Communicate with contacts at testing labs when situations arise that need elevated
Be the main point of contact for security. Give direction/permission when contacted or incidents occur, request changes of security detail or SOP when necessary.
Elevate items to Senior management when necessary
Coordinate facility/department/storage unit moves
Remind entire facility to clean up after themselves, remind and enforce drug-alcohol policy and social media policy, all of the obvious things...
Solve problems, put out fires, contact necessary resources, make sure the ship doesn’t sink, make sure everyone is okay.
Effective solutions based attitude and management style
Strong ability to multitask and work through constant interruption
Strong project management skills and experience
Highly organized and meticulous with proven experience in creating systems and process
Proven ability to handle high-stress situations
Team-oriented and collaborative with a positive attitude
Comfortable in a start-up environment - willingness and interest to roll up sleeves to do whatever it takes to get the task at hand done
Ability to work independently and think both strategically and tactically
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Proficient in all Office Suites (Google, Microsoft Office)
Ability and willingness to travel and work weekends when needed
At least 5 years experience in Operations Management
Experience in a warehouse setting
Cannabis industry experience a plus
Depending on Experience.
