The IT Senior Business Analyst works with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. The Business Analyst understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and identifies and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. This position is very visible within the company and has a tremendous amount of potential for growth. The Business Analyst will occasionally work with senior-level stakeholders and will have a unique, cross-divisional/departmental view of how the business works, and how technology ties into the core business.

Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):
Interview business experts to elicit requirements using interviews, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis.
Document requirements and determine project and system content for existing and new system requirements and requested enhancements.
Critically review, analyze, and evaluate business systems, business requests and user needs to determine feasibility. Distinguish user requests from underlying exact needs.
Coordinate/Design the configuration and deployment of business system applications and associated products throughout the enterprise.
Ensure business systems and related projects meet ongoing corporate business objectives, and fulfill end-user requirements.
Act as a project manager when needed. Manage and deliver technical projects as required.
Provide accurate time estimates for tasks, forecast projected completion dates for assignments and ensure a high-quality product is produced.
Ensure that any new software integration into company business system meets functional requirements, system compliance, and system specifications.
Take an active role in business process mapping and design with business system owners/users of Financial, Asset Tracking, Transportation and ERP systems.
Develop and coordinate testing procedures and quality assurance plans plus documentation for Business system changes/upgrades.
Contribute to production issue analysis and resolution.

Requirements, Experience, & Education:
Four-year college degree in the field of computer science, management information systems, financial or a related discipline, or 5 plus years related work experience.
Strong grasp of both business and technical concepts.
Excellent communication skills including interviewing, documentation, and presentation.
Business process mapping experience, as well as an understanding of the relationship between business processes, policies, and technology.
Experience in developing and executing test plans.
Ability to multi-task and handle priority assignments under stress.
Significant experience delivering projects using a formal software development methodology.
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and a non-technical manner.
Excellent research and troubleshooting skills.
Basic project management skills a plus.
Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
Understanding of financial systems and practices preferred.
Understanding of order fulfillment systems and practices preferred.
Working, knowledge of Transactional Accounting, Financial Management, and Order Fulfillment processes in such areas as AR, AP, GL, OE, IC and Forecasting desirable.
An understanding of reporting systems (i.e., Business Object, Crystal Reports, etc.) a plus.
Project experience with ERP Database applications in a medium to large enterprise preferred.
A strong customer service orientation is necessary for this position.
