HDR is currently in need of an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join our Puget Sound team in either our Seattle, Bellevue, or Olympia, WA offices. While working in the Water/Wastewater department, you will work on all aspects of various sized/disciplined projects.

Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Water/Wastewater Engineer, we'll count on you to:
Independently create detailed designs, plans, specifications, and estimates for pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, tanks and other water and wastewater storage, conveyance, and treatment systems.
Be responsible for independently coordinating the work of staff engineers and CADD technicians throughout the development of projects while ensuring deadlines are met and within budget.
Lead engineering/process design, project coordination, project management, determining and writing engineering specifications, planning work, establishing appropriate design methods, report preparation, and coordination of equipment sizing and selection.
Provide strong writing, presentation, and speaking skills, as you may work directly with the owner.
Establish client relations in the support of client development, marketing, contracting, design, and production
Function as a technical specialist and/or project manager on projects, and could also be expected to lead junior engineers
Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited engineering program
  • 10+ years of experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects
  • PE or able to obtain
  • Previous municipal consulting experience is a plus
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
