Kleinfelder’s San Diego Civil / Transportation Group is seeking an Entry-Level Staff Civil Engineer.
Desired skills and technical experience in Civil Engineering include:
Preparation of design plans using ACAD software.
Assistance to other engineers by using Excel, Word, PowerPoint (and other software) to create and edit reports, calculate quantities and cost estimates, and create client presentations.
Preparation of preliminary/final engineering construction documents for a variety of projects.
Experience a bonus for Civil Engineering design including geometrics, alignments, streets, storm drains, sanitary sewers, grading/earthworks, hydrology/hydraulics, erosion and sedimentation control, and creating presentation exhibits.
Pro-active troubleshooting and problem solving with practical, economical solutions.

Candidates are preferred to have 0 to 2 years of experience in Civil Engineering as follows:
Ability to function as a part of a multi-discipline team using a variety of design techniques and design software.
Ability to function independently, be self-motivated, follow complex instructions, and be detail-oriented.
Ability to perform tasks on multiple projects to meet client and Kleinfelder expectations for successful delivery including quality, scope, schedule and budget.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
Experience in use of both AutoCAD/Civil3D and MicroStation/Inroads is preferred.
