Job Description:SUMMARY:
The Credit Intern position is designed to provide
prospective banking professionals with a basic
understating of underwriting complex commercial
relationships, including Commercial & Industrial and
Investment Real Estate relationships. The Credit Intern
will develop skills to analyze the financial health of
commercial borrowers and will assist in authoring Credit
Memorandums and Credit Reviews. The Credit Intern may
interact with a variety of professionals and represents
the bank in interactions with bank clients and other

  • With guidance, works on financial analysis and assists
in underwriting commercial loan relationships within
established service levels.
  • Assists with the construction of financial models and
performs financial analysis, including but not limited
to discounted cash flows and enterprise valuation.
  • Assists in the preparation of various reports,
including loan committee activity, policy and procedure
exceptions and other reports that assist in monitoring
the credit metrics of the loan portfolio.
  • Assists in the preparation of Industry Studies that
include, but is not limited to: i) a review of the
regional and national markets, ii) analysis of the
performance of the bank’s portfolio, iii) analysis of
the financial stability of the industry and key risks,
iv) recommendation to senior and executive management
regarding segment limits which ultimately are presented
to the bank’s board of directors for approval.

projects. These projects may be internal or

  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in
Finance or Accounting and/or Economics. Typically, the
Credit Intern will have completed their Junior year and
will have completed introductory Finance and Accounting
