Primary Purpose and Essential Functions: Lead sales activity of assigned area to generate new and grow existing business in areas of dedicated services (dry van, food grade tanker and refrigerated van and warehouse) with minimum goal to meet enterprise growth and financial objectives. Our company has an amazing reputation for service and endless account base servicing the Western States.

  • Responsible for the generation of new business by identifying, qualifying and advancing opportunities with prospective customers. Facilitate activities and personnel interaction to close on new business and renew current business; foster both direct and pre-established sales opportunities. Obtain fully executed agreements for all new or renewed transportation and or warehousing.
  • Promote growth in existing business by identifying additional opportunities and supporting continuous strengthening of business relationships through direct contact; partner with designated personnel to contact dedicated prospects/customer to advance leads/opportunities.
  • Design creative and compelling solution based proposals that meet or exceed client requirements, which are both market competitive and profitable to the company. Conduct effective presentations, negotiate beneficial to company contract terms/pricing and close multiple deals for dedicated and supporting company services.
  • Manage the closure and implementation actions throughout dedicated sales process; ensure customer onboarding process is carried out efficiently and customer requirements are met. Effectively communicate and coordinate contract details with appropriate company personnel, leadership and customers.
  • Provide recommendations and support to leadership in business plan development.
  • Support collection of receivables as needed and work with customers to better manage contractual Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which advances the success of business operations in order to meet company/customer demands and expectations.
  • Travel as needed to support customer care, growth and profitability needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
  • Skills: Ability to lead various large accounts and activities; deep knowledge of the transportation industry with emphasis on providing complete supply chain integrated transportation and warehousing service offerings; strong ability to help formulate complex solutions as well as effectively present them to customers; comprehensive financial skills; high ability to communicate with multiple levels of leadership, both internal and external; Effectively work with others; strong ability to transfer knowledge; excellent writing skills and organizational skills; innate ability to solve difficult problems; have advanced computer skills; be very self-motivated; high comfort level with achieving large sales goals directly related to position success.

Launch and maintain CRM based efforts enhancing customer communication and contact.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience Required: Seven (7) years of transportation/similar experience required. Three (3) years of experience in dedicated sales preferred.
