Functional Title: Technical Recruiter
Location: Chantilly, VA
Citizenship/Clearance requirement: Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and may be required to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
FCI has an immediate full-time opening for a Technical Recruiter to join our Corporate team and oversee full life-cycle recruiting. Recruiting responsibilities include sourcing candidates through various channels, planning interview and selection procedures and hosting or participating in career events. To be successful in this role, you should be able to develop long-term recruiting strategies and nurture trusting relationships with potential hires. Ultimately, you will create strong talent pipelines for our company’s current and future hiring needs.
The primary duties for the position:
Responsible for executing hiring plans and partnering with Hiring Managers/Business Leaders and HR staff to efficiently fill vacancies with internal and external talent, utilizing best practices in full life-cycle recruitment.
Assist hiring managers with the development of job descriptions ensuring consistent practices.
Creates and manages talent pipelines specific to industry/agency/function to acquire the best talent.
Maximizes relationships with retained and contingent candidates to drive the greatest return on investment.
Provide expertise on the employment market, trends and innovative recruiting techniques to ensure competitiveness in hiring.
Creatively source through web, referrals, organizations, social networks, career events, etc. to generate qualified candidates.
Scheduling and coordinating interviews.
Updating and maintaining applicant tracking system.
Salary negotiation and offer letter preparation.
Responsible for government compliance reports (EEO/VETS) as well as the preparation of our Affirmative Action Plan (AAP).
Assisting with employee on-boarding as needed
Oversees, promotes and administers FCI’s employee referral bonus program.
Handles internal transfers & promos to include interview arrangements & transfer/promo offer letters.
Stay abreast of all legal issues pertaining to employment policies and procedures; ensure that the company’s policies meet all legal requirement
Create monthly reports on key talent acquisition metrics.
Participates in development of annual recruiting budget.
Travel within the Washington DC Metro area may be required up to 20% of the time.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications for the position:
Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of recruitment/staffing experience.
Must have a minimum of two years of experience recruiting in a government contracting environment.
Experience recruiting for niche skill sets in local and national environments is required.
Must have hands on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
Must be organized and be able to prioritize, coordinate and balance multiple priorities in order to serve multiple internal customers in a collaborative team environment
Must be able to handle high stress environments and be able to work efficiently and rapidly, adjusting to changing business needs.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
Ability to work with a high degree of self-direction and flexibility, especially with respect to taking initiative, prioritizing tasks, and resolving problems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Spreadsheet generation.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications for this position:
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification and/or SHRM-Certified Professional certification.
Hands on experience with Paycom ATS.
