Description of Duties/Essential Functions
Under direction, utilizing knowledge and familiarity with all statutes of orders and procedures applicable to licensing, reviews Authorization for Background Check forms for accuracy and completeness; exercises independent judgment and a command of legal, medical, and social terminology to review documents; performs complex data entry of CANTS, Sex Offender Registry, Illinois State Police, and FBI clearances for Day Care Authorizations for Background Check or forwards authorizations to the Background Check Unit for review of any hits found; reviews and performs data entry of Authorizations for Background Checks for directors and/or owners/operators of licensed child welfare agencies, child care institutions, and group homes.
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two years of office experience; requires the ability to keyboard accurately at 45 wpm; requires a working knowledge of legal, social, and medical terminology.
