ModSquad, the global provider of on-demand digital engagement services, is seeking a Director of Information Technology.
In this role, you will lead the company’s information security team, work with our clients and partners, and support the tech needs of our employees and Mod Contractors around the world. We’re searching for a service-oriented leader with superb written and oral communication skills, capable of solving complex problems with institutional global tech departments on one hand, and articulating clear and comprehensible processes and policies for the company at-large.
You will also be responsible for overall technical guidance, IT vendor management, the IT Roadmap, overall planning, budgeting, organizing, and execution of all IT functions at ModSquad.
You’ll report to the Chief Operating Officer and be an integral part of our leadership team.
The company has operation centers in Northern California, Northern Ireland and Austin, with business operations in Costa Rica, San Francisco, New York, and London.
What you will do:
Manage the company’s worldwide information security team, including employees, consultants and vendors
Develop strategies for supporting the information technology needs of the company’s remote employees and Mod Contractors around the world
Lead IT support efforts for PCI-compliant operation centers in Northern California, Northern Ireland and Austin, and others as they come online
Review contracts and collaborate with sales and services teams for client accounts with special security requirements
Work with current and prospective technology partners on service integrations
Ensure teams are properly executing information security policies, procedures and protocols
Define and report on information security metrics
Collaborate with Finance & Accounting to prepare financial budgets and present proposals for capital projects to senior leadership, including reviewing previous yearly expenditures; forecasting funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; and preparing budgetary plans for the implementation of information services and programs
Responsible for creation, management and execution of all ModSquad security policies, procedures and systems, including compliance with all applicable regulations (i.e., PCI, GDPR, HIPPA)
Manages and coordinates all external IT vendor relationships and ensures IT roadmap eliminates potential duplicate licensing strategies
Ensures the company is using all IT licenses effectively and eliminating unnecessary or underutilized licenses
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree required, computer science or related technical discipline preferred
At least 15 years of experience working in IT and information security, with at least 5 years of experience managing security operations and team
Very strong technical and leadership skills
Excellent communicator, both orally and in writing
Information security accreditation(s)
Demonstrated management skills, such as policy development and implementation, personnel administration and staff training, and budget development and administration
Available for occasional travel (15-20% to operations centers)
