Tilson is seeking a full-time CAD drafter with 1+ years’ experience. The candidate will be creating/updating drawings for various telecommunications sites. Drawings will include floor plans, tower elevations, site plans, grounding plans, etc. Most drawings are 2D single line (3D not required). The drafter will work closely with engineering personnel to create accurate engineering packages for permitting and construction. An ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work independently and manage multiple projects are a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with a team and carefully track all information needed to create design deliverables from initial field survey to final construction drawing package.
  • Create design deliverables that meet all local, state and federal codes and requirements.
  • Become the expert for assigned project design details and requirements.
  • Create drawings to be reviewed and stamped by a PE.
  • Work within defined QA/QC review process to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in drafting or CAD. Equivalent skill level and training is required.
  • 1+ years of experience in general CAD drafting or training.
  • Experience using AutoCAD.
  • Attention to detail, self-motivated and a team player.
  • Willing to seek out other assignments or tasks that need to be completed.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to follow company CAD drafting standards and procedures.
  • Comfort with Google Earth, GIS or other mapping applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

Successful candidates will be required to submit to criminal background check.
