Job Description
The Finished Goods Supply Chain Planning Resource manages the finished goods production as well as inventory management activities for assigned internal plant location(s) and co-packers while ensuring achievement of customer service goals and minimizing operating cost and inventory investment.

Responsibilities include:
Use the SAP planning tool to develop weekly production plans for the defined time horizon for activities supporting the production of Gatorade, Propel, and other hot fill beverages.
Maintain accurate product, line in SAP planning systems to ensure the development of low cost and feasible schedules on a weekly basis.
Ensure data from SAP model is in alignment with the corporate models.
On a daily basis adjust as required based on current business environment, sales trends, downtime, materials, production efficiencies, etc.
Work closely and communicate effectively with Chicago Planning and other plants to adjust production plans as necessary to ensure cost effective responses to short term demand spikes. Work with Chicago Planning and Global procurement to develop potential alternatives to improve longer term sourcing costs
Work closely and communicate effectively with logistics, purchasing, planning, plant/co-pack/repack teams to develop run strategies that establish optimum production schedules and run strategies
Work closely and communicate effectively with co-pack/repack team to ensure inventories are accurate and transactions are entered in a timely fashion
Work with Chicago Planning team to develop local finished goods and/or inventory plans in support of the Annual Operating Plan
Provide planning support to ensure the effective and timely launch of innovation products and promotional initiatives
Actively manage discontinued products and end of season Display and Warehouse Club inventory and production to minimize rework and scrap
Work closely and communicate effectively with plant operations team and materials team to develop a production schedule to meet Schedule Attainment and Schedule Adherence targets
Work closely and communicate effectively with shipping a DC locations to ensure transfer and shuttles are expeditiously handled in priority order
Work with inventory teams to monitor age of finished goods and materials and support Freshness metric.
Work with M&S and finance teams to manage inventories and research inventory discrepancies
Provide back-up support for supply chain as necessary
Ability to work flexible hours as needed
A Bachelor's degree. Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred
2 to 4 years in planning, inventory management, or related experience
Highly self-motivated and self-managed, with excellent prioritization and organizational skills
Must possess strong interpersonal skills, influence management skills, and demonstrated ability to work and participate effectively in a team environment
Must possess strong analytical skills, including problem analysis and resolution. A thorough understanding of production and distribution cost structure is required to support effective decision making. Ability to make tactical decisions, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate strong mathematical aptitude, be detail oriented, and confident in decision making
Ability to communicate effectively, internally and externally to all levels of management in both verbal and written communications. Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills and be comfortable with optimization software. Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Ability to use existing tools to develop effective finished goods plans
Strong customer focus and results orientation
SAP experience
Ability to use existing tools to develop effective finished goods and material plans
