Position Summary:
Reporting to the Quality Manager of Fritz Winter – North America, this role represents Fritz Winter at its U.S. customers in support of the Quality Assurance function.
Roles and Responsibilities:
·Involves substantial travel to Fritz Winter customers in support of the Quality Assurance function.
·Provides support to the customer in consultation with the head of Quality Assurance regarding raw and finished parts, prototypes and serial parts.
·Supports complex trials and new product runs at the customers including documentation of results and presentation of initial sample parts.
·Documents results and ensures a smooth and timely exchange of information between Fritz Winter and the customers based on customer requirements.
·Performs analysis of quality concerns utilizing disciplined problem-solving techniques to identify true root causes.
·Initiates and monitors corrective actions in cooperation with Quality Assurance.
·Coordinates/oversees third party activities as appropriate (i.e. sorting and rework activities).
·Collaborates and leads projects in accordance with applicable Fritz Winter guidelines.
·Serve as Voice of the Customer to Fritz Winter operations.
·Responsible for exceptional customer quality satisfaction, meeting all deadlines with accurate and thorough communication.
·Participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
·Organize, plan, conduct and document worker-training courses according to customer requirements.
·Compile monthly statistics regarding customer complaints, scrap, and rework
Education and/or Experience
·BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field of experience
·Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
·5 years Quality Assurance experience
Skills Required/Desired
·Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
·Experience with iron castings preferred
·Experience with machining processes preferred
·Excellent organizational skills
·Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
·Computer skills with experience using MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
·Detail oriented with strong analytical/problem solving skills
·Fluency in German a plus
·Fluency in Spanish a plus
Physical Requirements
·Normal duties will include periods of sitting, standing, walking, and some reaching and lifting
·Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
