Berg Pipe is one of the leading manufacturers of large-diameter line pipe in North America. We are a mid-sized manufacturer, with three U. S. locations who specializes in pipe production for the oil and gas sector.

Berg Pipe is looking to hire a Staff Accountant for our Panama City, Florida location. The Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring cash and inventory control records are accurate and up to date. They are also responsible for invoicing all customer shipments and balancing customer accounts. They provide support with related functions including financial accounting, accounts payable, budgets, and fixed assets in conformance with generally accepted accounting procedures.

Job Type: Full-time, Salaried-Exempt

Location: Panama City, Florida

Overview of position:
Maintain inventory control and ensure financial records match physical inventory on site.
Create and disperse customer invoices and maintain customer accounts.
Perform daily cash reconciliations and process bank wires and ACH transactions.
Manage accounts payable for raw materials, freight on shipments, project cost tracking and capital budgets.
Assist in maintaining G/L accounts and preparing reports as required
Assist with external audits as required
Communicate with and disperse financial and non-financial information to internal and external parties as required.

Required Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Five years of accounting experience reflective of the skills, abilities and knowledge contained in this description.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Education and Work Experience:
Five years of manufacturing experience as an accountant or equivalent role reflective of the skills, abilities and knowledge contained in this description.
