This position will be hired at the rate of $19.69 per hour and is non-negotiable. The working hours for this position are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
The incumbent functions as a member of a cooperative team that is responsible for the registration, licensure, and/or certification of various categories of health care facilities/entities. The incumbent is responsible for providing technical and consultative services for all matters pertaining to licensure and/or certification of assigned programs. The incumbent must meet job expectations under stressful conditions while maintaining courteous, professional, and goal-oriented behavior.
Specific responsibilities and duties are as follows: Assembles and reviews all application forms and supporting documents for completeness, accuracy and compliance with licensure requirements following unit procedural guidelines within allotted timeframes. Provides information and technical assistance to providers regarding initial, renewal, change of ownership, and general change of information applications. Responds to all communication, including emails and phone calls, relating to provider licensure and/or certification for the assigned areas of responsibility. Works with other team members, information technology, and other support areas of the Agency regarding the utilization and maintenance of computerized systems for tracking and storage of the licensure, certification, and inspection data of health care facilities/entities. Compiles and maintains inventories of programs in the assigned areas of responsibility to assure the information remains current and accurate. Works cooperatively with Field Operations staff to assure timely and accurate information is transmitted within the Agency and with other state and federal agencies as appropriate. Assists in the review, preparation and promulgation of statues and rules to implement program initiatives as may be required.

Knowledge of health and human services delivery systems and their impact on community and regional social systems.
Knowledge of health care facilities and their operation and management.
Knowledge of program planning, program development, and evaluation methodologies.
Ability to analyze and evaluate data and make recommendations.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team and independently, as needed.
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work assignments.
Ability to understand and apply applicable statutes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ability to utilize computers and other electronic equipment to enter, retrieve and manipulate data required to perform licensure and certification functions.
Ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, database, and desktop publishing software.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Three years of professional experience relating to health care delivery or health care administration, or two years of experience relating to health care regulation involving bill and statute analysis and technical writing.
Preference will be given to the applicant who has:
A bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited university;
One or more years of experience working as a licensed health care professional, or professional experience in health care administration, health care planning, or other health, rehabilitation or social service program; or
Two or more years of experience interpreting statutes and administrative rules.
