Reports to: Director of Marketing
The marketing communications specialist functions as the department’s strategic support; executing tactical programs and campaigns within strategic marketing planning and framework of each organization within the family of companies.
Primary point of contact for internal customers initiating work within the department or checking the status of jobs already in progress. Assists with daily operation of the marketing department, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. Hands-on involvement in a variety of marketing activities including major marketing programs, seasonal campaigns and ad-hoc project execution for multi-channel marketing campaigns, media plan execution, business development support (proposals and presentations); commercial and realty marketing support (property sheets, property brochures), along with event coordination through booth scheduling and shipping, collateral coordination and premium ordering, responsible for tracking all invoices and expenses against the marketing budget, reporting regularly to marketing director on fiscal status. Able to staff trade show and promotional events as needed (some travel required). Qualifications
Communication Proficiencies: Creative and business writing for all marketing collateral, sales tools, digital properties from websites to social media, press releases, employment marketing platform responses, along with presentations and proposals
Execution and project management of marketing programs, campaigns and projects across multi-company structure; ability to prioritize workloads; manage external marketing partners and vendors
Social Media Posts as directed / approved by Director of Marketing
Excellent organizational skills
Efficient time management skills and project management skills
Keen aptitude and knowledge of construction industry, construction equipment, commercial / retail real estate development, and property management is preferred
Superior Customer and Client Focus
Complete PO requests / receive invoices
Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
B.A. or B.S. Business with focus in Marketing Communications or comparable experience
Proficient MS Office Skills
Excellent writing skills
Superior communication skills are a must
