Full Job Description
SCAD seeks a full-time professor to join its writing program.

SCAD writing students learn to communicate effectively as they explore every avenue of the writing profession through a comprehensive and contemporary curriculum. The SCAD writing program sends students into the dynamic world of multimedia publishing fully prepared to flourish. Join SCAD as a writing professor to help students realize their creative visions and professional goals.

The ideal candidate possesses a student-centered teaching philosophy and strong skill and experience in business communication and practices across all media platforms — including professional, promotional and public relations writing and ethics. Unique academic and/or professional expertise and experience in nonfiction narrative and journalism is preferred, but not required (e.g., magazine writing, fashion journalism, writing for digital communication and new media).

The successful candidate will be expected to teach classroom-based and online courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels while motivating students of diverse backgrounds to think creatively and critically.

Requirements:
Terminal degree in English, writing or a related field with demonstrated professional success
