The Microsoft Services Quality Assurance team (SQA) is responsible for establishing and implementing quality standards for services business practices from both a sales and project engagement perspective.
The Services Quality Assurance (SQA) Lead - Portfolio position creates impact globally by assessing and determining trends/insights for assigned Microsoft Enterprise Services Business Applications Solutions Domain with respect to Deal, Delivery and Support Health.
In this role, you will work directly with Domain Global Leadership to drive strategic action for continuous improvement based on insights developed. You will also help to orchestrate and drive improvements based upon feedback from the field on methods, tools and programs, and provide requirements to the Delivery Excellence Services (DES) Team for ongoing evolution of methods, tools and programs. The Portfolio Lead periodically conducts Project Deal and Delivery Reviews on critical and high-risk projects.
One of the key functions of the Portfolio Lead is to drive consistency across Domain Time Zones (TZs) around how the QA functions are executed as well as driving lifecycle coordination and insights sharing. You will work directly with the Portfolio Director to prepare for the Delivery Section of the Quarterly Business Updates (QBUs) with the Enterprises Services Leader. The Portfolio Lead will also directly support assigned Domain/Area (Monthly Business Updates) MBUs.
Based on telemetry, standard reporting, Domain expertise across deal and delivery and other qualitative feedback, develop insights and recommended actions specific to assigned domains/areas to drive strategic action for continuous improvement in deal shaping and delivery with a view to increasing maturity over time
Lead the collection, synthesis and articulation of field feedback on programs, tools and methods and prioritize requirements with DES team
Work with the SQA Deal and Delivery teams in each TZ to orchestrate the lifecycle experience, sharing of insights, driving action per deal and delivery reviews with SQA and the domain or local area and ensuring consistency in QA execution
Execute Project Quality Review (PQR) and Deal Reviews within assigned Domain/Area as well debrief executive stakeholders
Orchestrate the summarization of deal/delivery risk, insights and actions for executive audiences and support QBUs
Work with other members of the Portfolio team to build, land and evolve quality standards as well as quality metrics to drive continuous improvement is deal, delivery and support
Orchestrate SQA Lead Community across TZs for the assigned Domain/Area driving best practices and adoption of standards while gathering feedback for continuous improvement in the SQA function
Support YOY maturity objectives and work with DES to vision, build and land initiatives with the field
The successful candidate will demonstrate competencies including…
10+ years focused on services delivery project/program management, including quality assurance or project governance
Understanding of key technologies/products, as well as delivery trends and risks for the Business Applications (formerly known as Dynamics) Domain, with ability to articulate their impact on delivery management to broader internal and external stakeholders to gain their support and drive necessary changes proactively
Solid understanding of and experience in delivery excellence, data analysis and development of business insights
Strategic thinking with the proven capability to build and execute a delivery strategy that resulted in quality delivery outcomes
Ability to lead transformation and drive a large-scale change within our Enterprise Services Business
Executive presence – executive communication, working with ambiguity, driving change, and building consensus. This role will work directly with Domain Leaders/HQ Leaders, CTOs and TZ Leads.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Influencing stakeholders to achieve impact through collaboration, presence and strong communication skills
Work in a matrixed environment (local, off-shore, near-shore) as an Individual Contributor (IC) Leader to achieve organization goals
Strong collaboration experience with a history of working across groups, collaborating and driving change

Location/Travel: You will be based anywhere in the United States, with a preference for location near a Microsoft office. Limited travel can be expected, up to 15%.
