We need a professional Witness Management Coordinator to support the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO). In particular, you’ll help the USAO’s Victim-Witness team with witness coordination.

Support USAO personnel, US attorneys, legal assistants, administrative staff, etc.
Establish detailed and well-organizedcase, project, and witness files
Track and maintain information on the disposition of designated information, files, and assets
Assure information is accurate
Work with witnesses on travel arrangements, appearance date and time
Determine any special circumstances or needs for the witness
Use judgment to determine if attorney should be notified of special circumstances or needs of witnesses
Complete and process travel vouchers in support of witnesses
Arrange for travel and lodging for witnesses
Prepare and submit documentation to arrange witness travel and obtain reimbursements
Prepare and submit documentation for witness reimbursement, e.g., witness vouchers
Reconcile relevant Government Travel Accounts
Provide witness management assistance prior to, during, and after trial
Work directly with witnesses
Confer with attorneys about witness appearance and any special circumstances
Meet with witnesses upon arrival to designated hearing or pre-trial conference
Offer and perform courtroom orientation
Accompany witness to court
Assist and support activities to help witnesses appear for court, pre-trial conferences, and grand jury
Receive visitors, field phone calls, questions and other inquiries from witnesses
Provide witnesses information about court, pre-trial conferences, grand jury appearances, and expense reimbursement
Answer inquiries regarding about cases, e.g., status, general information, etc.
Coordinate with Court, Probation, Pretrial, U.S. Marshals, investigative agencies, etc.
Enable USAO to improve the quality and quantity of services being provided to witnesses
Provide clerical support, e.g., data entry, scheduling
Compose original letters that do not require legal interpretations
Apply good working knowledge of legal procedures and specialized terminology
Prepare, format, and/or edit reports
Relevant and progressive experience
